Start your cycle tours through the varied and hilly Mostviertel region at the Gafringwirt. Take advantage of the panoramic roads with magnificent views, leisurely cycle paths and country roads.
There are also hills for e-bikers and plenty of places to stop for refreshments.

There are two excellent 18-hole courses in the vicinity of the Gafringwirt. Reduced green fees and reserved tee times are a matter of course.
Our home course in Ferschnitz, the Swarco Golf Club, is located 3 km from our hotel, in the midst of slightly hilly orchards with pear trees typical of the region, well maintained, with a unique view as far as the Ötscher. Taster lessons and golf courses with PGA pro Mike.
A flat parkland course awaits you at the golf club near Ernegg Castle (approx. 9 km), through which the small Erlauf river meanders. Not too strenuous on foot for a leisurely, varied round.
Other easily accessible golf courses in Maria Taferl, St. Pölten, St. Florian or Linz-Luftenberg.
Hiking in the Mostviertel through orchards with their imposing pear trees is fascinating at any time of year. Cider taverns, regional inns and farm-to-table establishments invite you to stop for a bite to eat. An exciting hike from the Gafringwirt to the Hochkogel with a unique panoramic view and a stop at the Almhaus.
After a short drive into the southern Mostviertel, you will come across rugged rock formations, the Ötschergräben - Austria's "Grand Canyon" awaits you here. The bubbling waters around the Ötscher in the Tormäuer Nature Park characterize the mountain world. Along the Iron Road, this was also the home of the "black counts", as the hammer masters were once called. Even today, contemporary witnesses and show workshops tell stories from those times.
